Huck Finn 11-20

Huck is doing a decent job of posing as Sara Williams and has some fooled. he learns from one of the towns folk how his pap had got into some trouble and was nearly hung. he finds there is a 200 dollar reward out for his return (paps) as well as a 300 dolllar bounty out for jim. the woman talking to huck notices smoke coming from jackson island and orders her husband to go and look there for jim. the woman gets suspecious with huck and ask his name again only this thime he replies mary instead of sara williams. she asks why the change and he claims mary is his middle name. she than has him throw a piece of lead at it. the throw is accurate and that of a boys leading her to belive huck is a runaway. he tells her his name is george and he is running from a mean farmer. huck gets back builds a fake fire to distract anyone on route to find them and than sets out in the raft. while on the raft the boys encounter a wrecked steam ship. the boys enter the ship and find robbers looting it. the boys cut the robbers raft loose so they cannot escape and they get themselves out of there. the boys feel bad about their actions so they go to get help. they find a ferry watchmen and tell him there is a stranded family out there. the boys are proud of their actions and plan to go to sleep but not before sinking the robbers raft to get rid of evidence. the boys enjoy a few valuable from the robbers raft like books, cloths and cigars before entering the ohio river. here huck in the canoe gets seperated from jim and the raft. the fog is to thick and it is very hard for huck to get back. after some time huck finally reaches back to the raft. jim is asleep and awakes very happy to see huck. huck plays a trick on jim as usual telling him he dreamed the whole seperation. jim soon finds out huck lied and jim is upset making huck feel bad. the boys come across some men hunting for slaves. huck turns this into a benefit sticking jim under the cover and inside so that the men couldnt see he was black. huck tells the men a story of how his family is in there suffering from smallpox. the men feel remource and give huck 40 dollars for his troubles. later while on the river again a steamboat collides with the raft breaking it apart. both boys dive off and swim for shore. a man with dogs ends up finding huck. huck speaks with buck grangerford and is invited to stay in their home. huck takes them up on this offer telling them of how he is an orphan. huck likes the family but is scared by all the volence. this family and one other have been battling for no reason. two youngsters end up dead due to a gunfight and it is discusting to huck. huck ends up leaving and he and jim contiune on downriver. they come across two men who claim to be a duke and another of royalty. they let them on the raft and soon find the men are liars. huck dosent let them know that he had caught on therefore he takes them a mile before letting them off. the two men ask if jim is a runaway slave and huck macremates a story to divert them other wise. huck brigns these men into town but upon getting there all is in disasry and not going according to schedule.
