Nature

I feel that Ralph Waldo Emerson truly portrayed his feelings of life and the way we live through "Nature". His reference to god shows his views as a religious man and his peaceful yet smooth discriptions show us he is a sensual man. An example of his religious beliefs is when he states "i am part or parcel of god". Also Emerson claims that "in the woods, we return to reason and faith". To me, i believe this means that while surrounded by nothing but the woods and natural plains of life, we truly find the person we really are. Another good point made by Emerson is when he states "in the wilderness, i find something more dear and connate than in the streets or villages". I feel that this means only in the woods can you have such a connection with yourself and the world that you cant have any place else. Nature being so beautiful around you calms and sooths your sould to block out the bad and only recieve good. people are in their purest state and their minds are at ease in nature.
